Andrew Merrick, PA-C
Andrew Merrick, PA-C, is a dedicated and versatile Physician Assistant with a diverse medical background and a lifelong passion for service. Originally from Southeast Alaska, Andrew completed high school in Southern California before enlisting in the U.S. Navy, where he served four years as a Damage Controlman. His military experience instilled in him a strong work ethic, adaptability, and commitment to teamwork—values that continue to guide his medical practice today.
Following his naval service, Andrew explored a variety of careers, including construction and firefighting/EMT work, before returning to his Alaskan roots to pursue his calling in medicine. He earned his Physician Assistant degree through the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest Program. Since graduating, Andrew has gained extensive experience across multiple specialties, including Urgent Care, the Department of Corrections, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, and now Gastroenterology.
This wide-ranging background allows him to provide well-rounded, compassionate care to his patients while maintaining a deep appreciation for the art and science of medicine. Outside of work, Andrew embraces the Alaskan lifestyle. He enjoys fly fishing, deep sea fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, side-by-side rides, snow machining, and snowboarding. A passionate traveler, he also loves exploring new cultures and destinations around the world.
